Tea and Toast.

Do you see familiar faces when you are travelling in a different country? People you think you know and almost say hello, then realise it can’t be that person you knew from 20 years ago because they look the same as when you last saw them. It happens to me all the time.

 

 When I moved to Los Angeles 27 years ago I’d see faces from Liverpool and now that I’m living in Spain I see faces from  LA! I’ve come to realise that we are all the same the world over, that it’s not just about physical likeness but energy too. 

 

I’ve been fortunate to meet some of the loveliest people wherever I go. Different nationalities and cultures and yet their hearts vibrate with the same love.  Why is it that we feel so different from each other? That we say them and us! I try to feel energy no matter where I am and have found that we all just trying to survive while hoping to thrive. That a smile or hello brings about a sometimes dramatic change in how a person responds. We all have fears and challenges that we are trying our best to hide from one another, yet if we let our vulnerabilities show maybe we’d have compassion for each other. It starts with self-kindness and letting that feeling sink into respecting who you are and still loving yourself.
